Local Jungle

Recurring process consulting session with [[Gavin]] (Local Jungle) focused on how his team generates AI-written content for auto repair shop service and vehicle pages, and whether to automate page creation in WordPress. Chris proposed a Claude-based project system with a persistent learnings file, client context files, and page-type scripts to speed up content generation; Gavin liked the content-automation idea but pushed back on mass-automating page creation due to QA risk (wrong company info, broken cross-links). They agreed to focus first on refining Gavin's AEO-focused content prompt, with Chris reviewing it before deciding on further automation. Gavin also reiterated he's sending a 30-day cancellation notice while Local Jungle is in a holding pattern, though he wants to resume the relationship once direction is clearer, and floated bringing Chris into referral/white-label work for his own clients' marketing.

Chris walked Gavin through the newly built Local Jungle multi-location WordPress template: locations page setup, coupon block display options, ACF-based blocks loaded via code, and the still-untested scheduling iframe integration. They also discussed Gavin's separate work reducing site bloat and speed testing Astro plus Cloudflare against WordPress, and touched on llms.txt files as a new SEO consideration. Gavin indicated the engagement may be winding down to as-needed support, asking Chris to propose a scope for the next 30 days given the 30-day contract out-clause.

Reviewed [[Local Jungle]]'s current site build with [[Gavin]], digging into ongoing page speed frustrations with their dev team (E2M) around plugin bloat, caching, and a potential future migration to Astro to guarantee cached delivery. Chris walked Gavin through the new custom locations plugin (nav locations, schedule online, all-location-info, and footer grid blocks) built for multi-location clients, plus documentation. Set Gavin up with GitHub access to pull plugin updates going forward, and discussed Local Jungle's plan to onboard two test clients to validate their new internal process before scaling and hiring a technical project manager and intermediate developer.

Weekly working session with [[Gavin]] on [[Local Jungle]]. Bulk of the call was troubleshooting page-speed problems with Gavin's WordPress dev team (Craig's push toward Astro migration, plugin bloat, caching/UTM issues) and Chris walking Gavin through GitHub so he can pull updates to the custom Local Jungle Core plugin (locations, nav CTA, schedule-online blocks) directly instead of relying on the dev team. Chris also demoed the gamified side-scroller easter-egg feature he built into his own Classic City homepage, which led Gavin to float a possible collaboration between his other marketing/ads business and Chris's clients. They agreed to revisit that idea after Chris returns from a trip.

Casual catch-up call with Jesse Barnett, mostly personal talk about mic gear, his transition toward self-employment, and mindset around regret and momentum. Chris then walked Jesse through DNS setup on Bluehost to point his messageaccelerator.com domain to his Lovable-hosted app, fixing A and TXT records. Chris also invited Jesse to his May 20th agency lunch club and shared updates on his own business: he already hit his annual revenue goal and is leaning into hosting events (lunch club, content days, an agency leaders workshop) to grow his network.

Chris walked [[Gavin]] through ongoing development of the Local Jungle location-navigation plugin: dynamic multi-location nav blocks, click-to-call vs schedule-online CTAs, and a reusable location-info block with column/row layout options. They agreed the phone number should always be the primary CTA over scheduling, with Chris to adjust the UX accordingly. Gavin also flagged a broken/oversized coupon form on the live templates site and an outdated coupon modal still using old Gravity Forms code that needs replacing with the new block.
