CMILC - Current
Weekly Lumberock website build check-in: locked the layout for the problem/solution page template and confirmed the four collection buckets (Backyard/Deck, Waterfront/Dock, Historic, Custom/Specialty). Discussed using color palette variations (dark/light/accent plus a consistent orange CTA) to differentiate each collection line, which turned into a bigger brand discussion Matt wants a few days to sort through. Erin is working through consolidating ~45-50 existing pages into the new sitemap structure and will follow up mid-week; development on the new page library kicks off now while content and sitemap work continues in parallel over the next month, and HubSpot integration (tracking code plus 2-3 embedded forms for sample/quote requests) was flagged as a straightforward upcoming task.
- Locked in the problem page layout and building block library for development.
- Confirmed the four primary collection buckets: Backyard/Deck, Waterfront/Dock, Historic, Custom/Specialty.
- Agreed the card sections at the bottom of problem pages will be blog posts rather than testimonials due to limited testimonial content.
- Agreed each product line should use a dark, light, and accent color plus a consistent orange call-to-action color across the site.
- Color palette per collection line has too many colors (six or seven) and needs trimming, requiring a broader brand discussion before finalizing.
- Consolidating 45-50 existing pages into the new sitemap structure will require modification work and could cause rework if rushed.
- Past experience of losing SEO market share on granular product pages (e.g. specific board sizes) due to insufficient content thoroughness.
- Which palette color will represent each collection bucket (Backyard, Waterfront, Historic, Custom)?
- How many pages will get full SEO/content attention versus being copy-pasted from the old site?
- What does Sophie's involvement look like in structuring the SEO/content plan going forward?
- ClientFollow up by Wednesday/Thursday with feedback on how the ~45-50 existing pages map into the new sitemap structure.
- MeSend over the new problem page template so Erin can build wireframes and content direction.
- ClientDecide on primary background colors for each collection line (Backyard, Waterfront, Historic, Custom) over the next week or two.
- MeBegin development of the page building block library over the next four weeks.
- ClientContinue HubSpot integration calls with the third-party integration team and share requirements affecting the website.
