Meetings

Chris LaFay and Dawn Audano walked the State Election Board team through the WordPress site build using the Orchard design system, showing roughly 60-70% completed pages (homepage, About Us, Meetings, rules/petitions) with placeholder content and demoing the meeting/rules/petition CMS fields. They introduced the upcoming feedback tool (a red 'report issue' button) for the client to mark up specific text changes, and agreed the client would submit feedback by Thursday night/Friday morning ahead of a follow-up meeting set for Monday June 1st, 10-10:30am.

Working session with the State Election Board team (Sherry Phillips and Hope) to lock down data structures for the new site: fields for meetings, rules and petitions, plus new homepage concepts including a 'bulletin' section for short county announcements and a county board of elections/registration update form. They also reviewed georgia.gov for design patterns to reuse (hero sections, side nav, card layouts) and agreed to skip a separate design phase and go straight into development. Next follow-up meeting set for May 26 to review a rough-but-visual build of the site.
