Demand Shift - Current
Chris ran a brand/design discovery session with Logan Lyles for the Demand Shift rebrand, which is shifting from a webinar-services agency positioning to a media-company model where client webinar series (e.g. Gunder, Common Mind) run as segments under one Demand Shift banner to build a larger shared audience. Bulk of the call was visual style discovery using off-topic art references and competitor sites (Creator Science, Exit 5, Marketing Millennials, a designer named Jack) to hone in on a light, 90s-nostalgia-inflected aesthetic with blue as a base color and a separate CTA accent color, avoiding heavy monochromatic or dark 80s-retro treatments. Chris will send a Loom with proposed fonts and color palette directions (not final-locked) within a couple days, targeting wrap-up in roughly 2-3 weeks given his travel and a big discovery call next week.
- Demand Shift will reposition its homepage from a services-led page to a media-hub page targeting B2B marketers and agencies, with the current homepage becoming a dedicated services page.
- Client webinar series (e.g. Gunder, Common Mind) will be folded under the single Demand Shift media brand rather than kept as separate branded funnels.
- Design direction will lean toward a light, subtle 90s-nostalgia aesthetic with blue as the primary base color and a separate complementary CTA color, avoiding full monochromatic or dark 80s-retro-futuristic styles.
- The mood-board/style-preference exercise replaces a traditional Pinterest mood board step in Chris's process.
- Font and color palette will be shared as a directional (not final-locked) recommendation before deeper design work begins.
- Timeline could stretch to 2.5-3 weeks instead of 2 due to Chris's upcoming trip and a major discovery call next week.
- Logan is still undecided on whether his personal LinkedIn should broaden into general B2B marketing content or stay niche to webinars/live shows, which affects brand architecture.
- Will personal LinkedIn (Logan) go broader into B2B marketing content or stay focused on webinars/live shows, versus building out the Demand Shift company page as the broader hub?
- Can the 'design meaning encoded in visual' concept from the book cover references (Revealing Revelation, The Air We Breathe) be incorporated into the Demand Shift design?
