Chris LaFay: Good afternoon.

Nathan Ross: Hey, how you doing, Chris?

Chris LaFay: I'm doing well because tomorrow I go out of town for a week to the beach.

Nathan Ross: Right?

Chris LaFay: What beach you going to say it again?

Nathan Ross: What beach are you going to?

Chris LaFay: Oh, New Smyrna beach, down on the east coast of Florida.

Chris LaFay: It is, you have Daytona and then literally right south of it is New Smyrna Beach.

Chris LaFay: So it's the extraordinarily quiet, extraordinarily quiet side of the beach that's basically just all private condos for the most part.

Chris LaFay: Mostly a lot of retired folks that live there, which is great because that means it's not crowded and we get the beach basically all to ourselves.

Chris LaFay: So 10 out of 10, right?

Nathan Ross: Nice.

Nathan Ross: Well, that's exciting.

Nathan Ross: Good to hear.

Chris LaFay: Yes.

Chris LaFay: What about you?

Chris LaFay: What have you been up to that's exciting?

Nathan Ross: Nothing.

Nathan Ross: My life is boring and it's busy and full of work and sadness and that's great.

Nathan Ross: But this is coming to a close, so that's nice.

Nathan Ross: Get to mark something off my list.

Chris LaFay: Hey.

Chris LaFay: Hey.

Chris LaFay: There you go.

Chris LaFay: Yes, I have gone.

Chris LaFay: So actually speaking of the website, I think this is going to be a fairly quick conversation.

Chris LaFay: I've gone through and applied pretty much all the changes I believe I'm actually was in the middle of going through them, kind of like doing like a once over and actually like checking all the boxes on, off.

Chris LaFay: But I'm fairly sure that pretty much all of these things are done.

Chris LaFay: There's going to be obviously some images that need to be swapped around still.

Chris LaFay: Primarily that's going to be kind of on like these industry subpages that are mostly just generated content at the moment.

Chris LaFay: But all of these images got swapped.

Chris LaFay: I went ahead and tossed one in for retail pharmacies that I found on the stock photography website that just kind of match the same feel.

Chris LaFay: Went ahead and did build this page out that tried to angle the content towards pharmacies.

Chris LaFay: Probably not, you know, the best content in the world, but it's at least a starting point for you.

Chris LaFay: Got these plugged in here as well too.

Chris LaFay: These will probably need some double checking about all the different, like, you know, the data points and the descriptions and stuff.

Chris LaFay: But pulled what I could from that other website.

Chris LaFay: We got Orange Theory Orange in there, which by the way, highly approve of Orange Theory Orange.

Chris LaFay: That's where, that's where I go to the gym.

Chris LaFay: I was like, I know that orange.

Nathan Ross: I was just there on Wednesday.

Nathan Ross: I'm still sore.

Nathan Ross: But I was thinking about that when I was in there.

Nathan Ross: I was like, this would probably be a good color to Include on the website.

Chris LaFay: Blue and orange go very well together.

Nathan Ross: Yes.

Chris LaFay: Made some updates to the About Us page.

Chris LaFay: Removed a couple of things there.

Chris LaFay: There was contact form changes as well too.

Chris LaFay: We got all the different dropdown stuff.

Chris LaFay: Made the logo a little bit larger.

Chris LaFay: Not as big of a fan of how these pieces kind of turned out.

Chris LaFay: So I might actually just make some executive decisions on how these things line up a little bit better.

Nathan Ross: Yeah.

Chris LaFay: Font size a little bit funky there, but I think we got pretty much everything good.

Chris LaFay: Like all your stuff good to go.

Chris LaFay: I'm going to do.

Chris LaFay: I'm going to finish validating everything later today and send you a confirmation on it.

Chris LaFay: But really at that point it's going to be just whatever other images you want to swap out and I can then, you know, just replace Those with whatever 1, 2, 3 RF photos you'd like me to toss in there.

Chris LaFay: And if the content's good, I mean the, the nice thing about your current website is this, as it stands now, is 10x better than what you have currently?

Nathan Ross: Oh yeah, for sure.

Chris LaFay: So that's about where we're at right now.

Nathan Ross: Okay, you scroll down to the bottom real quick.

Nathan Ross: I think there's one thing, the bottom left.

Nathan Ross: I might have put it all the way at the bottom.

Nathan Ross: Very, very bottom.

Chris LaFay: All the.

Chris LaFay: Oh, sorry.

Chris LaFay: Okay.

Nathan Ross: Yeah.

Nathan Ross: Public health screening since 19.

Nathan Ross: FDA section 512 registered.

Nathan Ross: I guess that's fine.

Nathan Ross: And so will these dates.

Nathan Ross: The dates will auto update 2026.

Chris LaFay: So I did, I did something.

Chris LaFay: These sections are basically just standard paragraph text.

Chris LaFay: There's no, there's nothing, there's nothing programmed in here with 2026.

Chris LaFay: I did attempt to put a little widget in this tiny little text area that normally is not auto updatable to auto update it.

Chris LaFay: So I believe the answer is going to be yes to that, but I'm not 100% sure.

Chris LaFay: Normally where things are dynamically updated, it's kind of at a block, like a whole building block level.

Chris LaFay: This is just think about.

Chris LaFay: This is just like it's a regular paragraph like you would type in like Microsoft Word rather than something that's coded, if you will.

Chris LaFay: So.

Nathan Ross: Okay.

Nathan Ross: Yeah, I mean, no, this is at a certain point too.

Nathan Ross: I might have like a few more tweaks once I talk to a couple other people.

Nathan Ross: But at a certain point, I mean, once you just turn it over, we'll be able to just swap out any of the copy and stuff like that.

Nathan Ross: So that's not a big deal.

Nathan Ross: I. Yeah, yeah.

Nathan Ross: So, I mean it's looking great so far.

Nathan Ross: Think Great job.

Nathan Ross: And yeah, I just.

Nathan Ross: Once I get.

Nathan Ross: I do a screen share with a couple other people and get their input, then we'll be, we'll be good to.

Chris LaFay: Go whenever you basically over the next week.

Chris LaFay: So let me kind of give you a timeline for me the next week.

Chris LaFay: So Monday through.

Chris LaFay: Actually Saturday to Saturday I'll be at the beach out of pocket.

Chris LaFay: The following week I will be.

Chris LaFay: I'll be in town Monday and Tuesday, but Wednesday through Friday I'm at a conference.

Chris LaFay: So really over the next two weeks, I'm busy.

Nathan Ross: Okay.

Chris LaFay: So if you want to take the next two weeks and just toss in content changes into the.

Chris LaFay: The widget over here on the side.

Chris LaFay: Yeah, Just shoot me an email when you're done.

Nathan Ross: Okay.

Chris LaFay: And I will then just use that as like the marker of like.

Chris LaFay: All right, cool.

Chris LaFay: Go ahead and make all these sweeping changes and then at that point it should just be a glance over for you and a confirmation.

Chris LaFay: So.

Nathan Ross: Okay, cool.

Nathan Ross: And then I'll.

Nathan Ross: And then I'll get your latest invoice paid shortly and then we'll be good.

Chris LaFay: That sounds good.

Chris LaFay: Well, one thing you will need to get is a hosting plan.

Chris LaFay: I don't know if we talked about this before.

Chris LaFay: Oops.

Nathan Ross: Yeah, we use Flywheel.

Chris LaFay: Oh, I'm sorry.

Chris LaFay: That's right.

Chris LaFay: We talked about that already.

Chris LaFay: I apologize.

Nathan Ross: So what do you want me to do to give you access to that?

Chris LaFay: Let me Flywheel Grant.

Chris LaFay: I know.

Chris LaFay: I know how it works on WP engine like the back of my hand.

Chris LaFay: I just don't know about it in Flywheel.

Chris LaFay: It should be about the same though.

Chris LaFay: Let's see.

Chris LaFay: Flywheel didn't create new sites, all sides.

Nathan Ross: You think that a company like Flywheel would be able to get a better URL than get flywheel.com.

Nathan Ross: That was.

Nathan Ross: That always made me laugh that, you know, I.

Chris LaFay: You know what I bet it was because Flywheel was not a part of the WP engine family until recently.

Chris LaFay: When I say recently, I'm talking about like five to seven years ago.

Chris LaFay: I bet when they started it was the only one.

Chris LaFay: And then they got.

Chris LaFay: Probably got all this SEO juice with their domain name now and they don't want to risk switching it over.

Chris LaFay: That's.

Chris LaFay: That's what I see happen relatively often with like medium sized companies.

Chris LaFay: They don't want to risk the SEO head privacy mode.

Chris LaFay: Nope, nope, nope.

Chris LaFay: Not price.

Nathan Ross: I think they have to like create new site first.

Chris LaFay: You should.

Chris LaFay: I don't think you do.

Chris LaFay: I think you need to add as.

Chris LaFay: I think you just need to add me as A collaborator.

Nathan Ross: But I would have to create a new site in their.

Nathan Ross: Their dashboard for that first.

Nathan Ross: Right.

Nathan Ross: Then add you as a collaborator.

Nathan Ross: Or they also have an option to migrate my site.

Chris LaFay: Your.

Chris LaFay: Is your current site on Flywheel Publicom?

Nathan Ross: No, but my Blackwater Digital is.

Chris LaFay: I understand.

Chris LaFay: I gotcha.

Chris LaFay: Okay.

Chris LaFay: So you should be able to add a collaborator under the add a collaborator section and then we will need.

Chris LaFay: Okay, I. I'm sorry, I. I understand what you're saying now.

Chris LaFay: It took a second for my brain to process it.

Chris LaFay: Yes, we will have to create a new site in your Flywheel account, which will probably increase your monthly bill through to Flywheel, because I believe Flywheel does side by side pricing, if I recall.

Nathan Ross: Yeah, I think they do.

Chris LaFay: Yeah.

Chris LaFay: So we'll add a new site and I haven't done an auto migration with.

Chris LaFay: I know.

Chris LaFay: WP Engine has a plugin that we actually install on the demo site and we basically copy and paste some credentials from Flywheel and it grabs all of the website that's on WP Engine and it chucks it into your.

Nathan Ross: Yeah.

Chris LaFay: All nice and automatically.

Chris LaFay: And I would assume since they're owned by the same company, the same tool exists.

Chris LaFay: Okay, so when you create a new site, I think what you'll do is you'll just create a new site.

Chris LaFay: I don't know what you have to do for the setup process before it allows you to like, see the dashboard of.

Chris LaFay: And like, add collaborators.

Chris LaFay: Like over here.

Nathan Ross: See if I go to.

Nathan Ross: I was just going to go to my Blackwater site and see what happens if.

Nathan Ross: Oh, there we go.

Nathan Ross: Flywheel is kind of slow today.

Chris LaFay: You want to share your screen with me?

Chris LaFay: That might be helpful.

Nathan Ross: Yeah.

Nathan Ross: Oh, man.

Nathan Ross: Open system settings.

Nathan Ross: Yes.

Nathan Ross: It's okay.

Nathan Ross: Oh, it's making me quit and reopen.

Nathan Ross: If you lose me, I'll be right back.

Chris LaFay: No, you're good.

Chris LaFay: No worries.

Nathan Ross: Okay, now I'm going to share screen.

Nathan Ross: Chrome Tab.

Nathan Ross: No, not window.

Nathan Ross: So many options for sharing the screen.

Nathan Ross: Holy hell.

Chris LaFay: I know, right?

Nathan Ross: Oh, and I lost the window that I wanted.

Chris LaFay: Of course.

Nathan Ross: Flywheel.com login.

Nathan Ross: Okay.

Chris LaFay: Logging into some of my stuff as well, too.

Nathan Ross: Oh, now I lost.

Nathan Ross: Damn.

Nathan Ross: You go up.

Chris LaFay: Technology just makes everything easier.

Nathan Ross: I have so many windows open.

Chris LaFay: There we go.

Nathan Ross: Holy hell.

Nathan Ross: Okay.

Nathan Ross: All right.

Nathan Ross: Now presentation is starting.

Nathan Ross: But the window where it was asking me to share.

Nathan Ross: What window to share is not there anymore.

Nathan Ross: Maybe if I go back.

Chris LaFay: Here we go.

Nathan Ross: Okay.

Nathan Ross: Chrome Tab, Flywheel Share.

Nathan Ross: Now can you see?

Nathan Ross: Can you see it now?

Chris LaFay: Look at that.

Chris LaFay: There we go.

Chris LaFay: Now we're.

Chris LaFay: Now we're talking.

Nathan Ross: Okay, so here's my Blackwater site.

Nathan Ross: Yeah.

Chris LaFay: And that's just the site.

Chris LaFay: So actually.

Chris LaFay: So don't add me there because that is your actual Blackwater site.

Nathan Ross: Right, Right.

Nathan Ross: I'm just saying that's like where I would do it, right?

Chris LaFay: Yes, correct.

Nathan Ross: Okay.

Chris LaFay: Yeah.

Chris LaFay: So if you click on that new site button in the top right hand corner in the nav bar,.

Nathan Ross: Then I have to upgrade plan to add one.

Chris LaFay: More to your thing.

Nathan Ross: Man, they charge eleven hundred dollars.

Chris LaFay: Wait a minute.

Chris LaFay: No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

Chris LaFay: Hold on a second.

Chris LaFay: That's.

Nathan Ross: That's one more sideshow subscription there.

Chris LaFay: Yeah, I was gonna say.

Chris LaFay: I was.

Nathan Ross: What is the.

Nathan Ross: What is the difference in those plans?

Chris LaFay: Oh, it's a 10 site plan.

Chris LaFay: That's what that is.

Chris LaFay: It's like a.

Chris LaFay: Like if you're an agency and you're hosting multiple things.

Chris LaFay: That's what that is.

Chris LaFay: Yeah.

Chris LaFay: So this is just plus one website.

Chris LaFay: So your next full bill next March will be for both of them at 450 bucks.

Nathan Ross: Okay.

Chris LaFay: You're getting a prorated 145 because your annual renewal happened in March.

Chris LaFay: So rather than paying the 200, you're paying 145 for the next eight, nine months, whatever that math is.

Chris LaFay: Do you.

Nathan Ross: What is the cost for this?

Chris LaFay: 200 Bucks a year.

Nathan Ross: How much?

Chris LaFay: I think.

Chris LaFay: I think it just said 200 bucks a year.

Nathan Ross: Yeah, that's what I thought it said 245 for that one.

Chris LaFay: I think it was.

Chris LaFay: I think it was.

Chris LaFay: I think it's 245.

Chris LaFay: But then when you pay annual, since you're already on an annual plan, they.

Chris LaFay: It's prorated.

Chris LaFay: You get like two months.

Chris LaFay: So now that's for two websites every year, right?

Nathan Ross: Yeah, that's not that bad.

Chris LaFay: No, I feel like.

Nathan Ross: I feel like the.

Nathan Ross: The hosting lags sometimes though.

Nathan Ross: Like when I'm on the Blackwater site, it takes a while to load.

Nathan Ross: I probably just have a bloated.

Nathan Ross: When we're done with this site, I might need to just pay you to look at my Blackwater site and unbloat it there.

Chris LaFay: And they're pro.

Chris LaFay: There are.

Chris LaFay: I will say that that is sometimes a.

Chris LaFay: So first off, I don't mind doing that.

Chris LaFay: Secondly, sometimes that type of work is a kind of like a quicksand pit to where it's like, oh, just one more little thing.

Chris LaFay: Just one more little thing.

Chris LaFay: And then you don't really make a lot of progress.

Chris LaFay: So I'll.

Chris LaFay: I will more than happily take a look at it.

Chris LaFay: Just know there are certain areas and certain things to where it's like this over here is a bigger problem and it's probably not worth the money to go and tackle it.

Chris LaFay: So there.

Chris LaFay: There are pieces like that.

Chris LaFay: So just FYI.

Nathan Ross: Okay, well, then let me go ahead and add this.

Nathan Ross: Okay.

Chris LaFay: There is a button that says migrate my site before you.

Chris LaFay: Before I push the big yellow button.

Chris LaFay: What is the migrate?

Chris LaFay: What would happen if you let migrate my site.

Chris LaFay: Sorry, I still want you to get too far down a rabbit hole if that opened up in a new tab.

Chris LaFay: I don't.

Chris LaFay: I don't see that tab.

Chris LaFay: There we go.

Chris LaFay: Got it.

Chris LaFay: Okay, so move my site for me.

Chris LaFay: Oh, yeah, click.

Chris LaFay: I'd like help.

Chris LaFay: I always like help.

Chris LaFay: Honestly, that's having the.

Chris LaFay: Having a hosting company do the site migration is actually a better idea.

Chris LaFay: I know it takes a little bit of time, but that probably saves four to five hours.

Chris LaFay: So if your game to do that and let them handle it, that means there are not going to be any hiccups.

Chris LaFay: Basically, we're copying and pasting thousands and thousands of files.

Chris LaFay: So that's what that's for.

Nathan Ross: All right.

Chris LaFay: You actually might not.

Chris LaFay: So with the site migration, they might not need you to create the site yet.

Chris LaFay: I don't know.

Chris LaFay: Go back and click on Migrate my site again.

Chris LaFay: Sorry.

Chris LaFay: Not to bounce off like a pinball.

Nathan Ross: What's the destination for the site?

Nathan Ross: Do you have a supply wheel you'd like migrate to?

Nathan Ross: Do you want to add this site?

Chris LaFay: Yes.

Nathan Ross: Wait, but unnamed single plan.

Nathan Ross: That must be what I.

Chris LaFay: That must be the unnamed site that's not being used right now.

Nathan Ross: Okay.

Chris LaFay: Site name, current site, URL.

Chris LaFay: Okay, so, yeah, so actually don't do the.

Chris LaFay: Don't click the yellow button that was on the other one.

Nathan Ross: Okay.

Chris LaFay: This will automate the whole thing for us because if you do what I think will happen, it'll no longer be an unnamed empty bucket and we'll need to chat with support and see if they can delete it and all that kind of fun stuff.

Nathan Ross: So.

Chris LaFay: What I'll probably do is once we do the last round of.

Chris LaFay: When we meet up again in about two weeks, when I'm back from both of my things and you've submitted everything, what we'll probably do is we'll meet that day, we'll go through and make sure that all the changes have been made.

Chris LaFay: And then at that exact same time, we'll run through this together.

Chris LaFay: Okay.

Chris LaFay: And we'll plug in all the details, and then Flywheel can then take your website, absorb it in, and then when they're Done.

Chris LaFay: We can then point your domain name over.

Nathan Ross: Okay.

Chris LaFay: So that's.

Chris LaFay: That sound good?

Nathan Ross: Yeah, that all sounds good.

Chris LaFay: Awesome.

Chris LaFay: Let's go ahead and put another calendar invite on the.

Chris LaFay: On the calendar.

Chris LaFay: If we can do July 2, which is a Thursday, that'll give me three days to do all of your swifty swaps.

Nathan Ross: I probably can't do July 2nd because that's the day before I leave to go to the beach with my family.

Chris LaFay: And then.

Chris LaFay: Are you gonna be gone all week at that point?

Nathan Ross: I'm gonna be gone all the next week.

Chris LaFay: I'm.

Nathan Ross: Yeah.

Nathan Ross: So I'm gonna be gone from Friday all through the next week.

Chris LaFay: Okay.

Nathan Ross: And then busy catching up on the 13th and 14th, so I wouldn't be able to do anything to the 15th.

Nathan Ross: Could we do, like, Wednesday the 1st?

Chris LaFay: Yeah, we could do Wednesday the 1st.

Chris LaFay: As long as all of your stuff is in before, like, that Sunday.

Chris LaFay: Because basically the Monday the 29th and Tuesday the 30th, I'll run through stuff.

Chris LaFay: Does 2pm on the first work for you?

Nathan Ross: Yeah, let me just shut.

Nathan Ross: Let me just double check.

Nathan Ross: July 1st.

Nathan Ross: Yeah.

Nathan Ross: Yep.

Chris LaFay: Awesome.

Nathan Ross: That works.

Chris LaFay: Go ahead and Nathan, add Google Meet.

Chris LaFay: Yes.

Chris LaFay: Add a description.

Chris LaFay: Nathan.

Chris LaFay: So I'll put a couple of quick bullet points in here.

Chris LaFay: Submit all final feedback Sunday before.

Chris LaFay: Do drop me an email when you're done with feedback, because I don't get notifications when people submit that stuff.

Chris LaFay: My inbox would be huge if I did.

Chris LaFay: So drop me a note when you're done so I know to actually take a look at it all.

Chris LaFay: We'll review the site and get confirmation.

Chris LaFay: We'll then go through Flywheel, have them begin the website port.

Chris LaFay: Then that gives them an entire week plus to then actually copy the website over.

Chris LaFay: Then when you get back, we can swap the domain name and be clear.

Chris LaFay: Great.

Chris LaFay: Easy peasy.

Chris LaFay: Was feedback easy to do?

Nathan Ross: Yeah.

Nathan Ross: Yeah, it was super easy to do.

Chris LaFay: Awesome.

Chris LaFay: That's my hope.

Chris LaFay: Because feedback is always the toughest part.

Chris LaFay: And we've been using that tool for the last six years, and both technical people and untechnical people seem to enjoy it.

Chris LaFay: And so I was, like, asking, because I know it's not a fun process to go through where it's like, you got to go through every page and be like, I gotta do this.

Chris LaFay: I gotta do this.

Chris LaFay: Like, it's not a fun thing, but the easier we can make an unfun thing, the better everybody is.

Chris LaFay: So.

Nathan Ross: Yeah, for sure.

Chris LaFay: Awesome.

Chris LaFay: That sounds good, man.

Chris LaFay: Well, that meeting's on your calendar.

Chris LaFay: I have a couple of bullet points for all the notes.

Chris LaFay: If you have any questions in the interim, feel free to email me.

Chris LaFay: I will be spreading radically, checking email over the next couple of weeks.

Chris LaFay: I just probably won't respond within a.

Nathan Ross: So that's totally fine.

Nathan Ross: All right, cool.

Nathan Ross: We'll have fun on your vacation.

Chris LaFay: Will do.

Chris LaFay: Thank you very much for the time today.

Chris LaFay: I appreciate it.

Chris LaFay: And I'll catch you a little bit later.

Chris LaFay: All right.

Chris LaFay: Bye, Chris.

Chris LaFay: Take care.

Nathan Ross: Bye.
