Dawn Audano: Yep. All right, we'll jump into it.
Andrew Booth: The legend.
Dawn Audano: What? Why does it say no signal? Oh, okay.
Chris LaFay: I didn't have my camera turned on. I'm sorry. You can see my face for literally three seconds.
Dawn Audano: I thought it was like a signal error. All right, well, so we have ATS in 28 minutes. I just want to make sure we jump into this. Welcome, Chris, to my stand up. I just got back from run, which is why I'm all hot and gross and my cheeks are all swollen because it's like 80 degrees outside at 9am I need a haircut.
Chris LaFay: That's why I look gross.
Dawn Audano: That's okay. Samson usually doesn't brush his hair for these, so.
Andrew Booth: Samson doesn't brush his hair for weeks on end.
Dawn Audano: I know. I think he only brushes them on stand up days because I've given him so much craft. He is.
Andrew Booth: He's a true bachelor.
Dawn Audano: He is. All right, so Eon Laser. I have half of the tasks right now assigned to you, Andrew, and half of them assigned to Samson. Because I think last week we talked about Samson could do some of the work. But the Zoho integration I think is done, but we just need to add it to all those pages to finish up. Is that true?
Andrew Booth: That's the chat embed.
Dawn Audano: Yeah.
Andrew Booth: Yeah. I have a build on my local machine. I need to push that, has that included with it.
Dawn Audano: So.
Andrew Booth: Done. It's just not on Shopify yet.
Dawn Audano: Okay, so that would be the support page, the collections page, PDP page, cart page, all of those pages it's all on. You just have to push it to Shopify.
Andrew Booth: Yeah, it's site wide.
Dawn Audano: Okay, cool. And then that also includes the site navigation and footer linking. Is that. Was that the other piece missing from that? Oh, no. This says Andrew needs to wire up the product dropdown, support links and footer paths so Steven can click through instead of using the custom optimizer preview.
Andrew Booth: Oh, okay. Yep. So the top menu is done. So he can click through the footer paths, though those are not linked. But I don't think it matters for this case because some of the links in the footer aren't going to apply and I think Steven's going to actually end up just like deleting those and like swapping it with something else because like there's a store locator.
Dawn Audano: Okay, so it's just a support link that needs to be added and that's been added in your most recent push. Correct? Or that will have been.
Andrew Booth: Trying to think of what the support link was.
Dawn Audano: Well, wouldn't it be the link to the Zoho stuff.
Andrew Booth: The Zoho stuff was the chat. Chat with sales stuff.
Dawn Audano: Okay, so maybe we'll just go to the support page, Open a support ticket.
Andrew Booth: Yeah, So I have the support page, LinkedIn. Oh, open a support ticket is on the support page, but that's not part of the site navigation footer linking. Okay. Specifically, as it pertains to the site navigation footer linking, I think that one's good because the site navigation is fully linked up.
Dawn Audano: Good equals done.
Andrew Booth: Say again?
Dawn Audano: Good equals done.
Andrew Booth: Yes, Sorry.
Dawn Audano: Okay.
Andrew Booth: Yep. But the support page does have a open a support ticket as well as chat with sales. The chat with sales would be done when I do this push. But the open support ticket, we don't have that from them yet.
Dawn Audano: Okay, so Zoho integration, support page, collection page, PDP page, cart page, and knowledge base. Integration.
Andrew Booth: Knowledge base is not done. That's going to be their Zoho devs doing it.
Dawn Audano: Okay, but the integration piece isn't on us. Or is it is on us.
Andrew Booth: Confusing wording.
Dawn Audano: Thank you.
Andrew Booth: Integration, technically speaking, as the word is defined, would be on them. But the description you have for that item is actually the chat with sales button.
Dawn Audano: Okay.
Andrew Booth: Which is done with my push.
Dawn Audano: Okay, so you'll push all of those today and then you can check all of those off for me.
Andrew Booth: Yes. Yeah.
Dawn Audano: Cool. All right. Yeah, I have them. It's like half and half assigned to you and Samson. So just go through and click the ones that you've done. I also have defined product hierarchy on Samson. Right now. I have cleanup product data, clean product data, variant saving and structure on Samson right now. Create machine products. Yeah. So some of these things. I don't know if we even have it to give to, like, give to Samson. Okay, cool.
Andrew Booth: Not yet. Yeah. So that sheet you sent to them yesterday would be the machine product.
Dawn Audano: That's what I thought. Okay, so I'm just gonna move those out to the end of this week and see what happens. And then content QA can't even happen until, like next week. My content's gonna be complete never. But whatever. Okay. That's Eon Aries. Oh, my God. I can't with them. I cannot with them. The fact, like, they, you, whatever, the staging is all good.
Andrew Booth: I. I think I'm hypothesizing here. I think they have multiple teams internally, and then they've got Bobby, who's not actually an employee. He's like. And everybody goes to Bobby for everything. And Bobby can't keep up with it either. So Bobby Is like overwhelmed.
Dawn Audano: Okay.
Andrew Booth: And I think that's where a lot of the, like, chaos is happening. And then you've got all these different people working and it seems like they're very siloed, so they're not communicating with each other. And then it's just creating a lot of confusion. Okay, that's my hypothesis.
Dawn Audano: Okay, Are all your hours in from work yesterday that you did for them.
Andrew Booth: For Aries? I think so, yes.
Dawn Audano: Okay, so we're currently at 18.75 hours for them for the month, which isn't terrible. With 10 days remaining. 12 Days remaining. Somewhere in there we have the estimating the scope tower. Have you ever emailed, have you ever messaged Corey?
Andrew Booth: No, because every day I get a new urgent issue from them.
Dawn Audano: Okay, so the transmission tower talking to Corey and then the move logo to center thing. So those are the three things that we have that we know about in this present moment from them. Yes.
Andrew Booth: And I actually did look at the logo stuff, and I need to send Bobby a slack message because it doesn't make sense to me because the logo is centered on both desktop and mobile. So I don't know what he's talking about.
Dawn Audano: Maybe he wants it as a palindrome. Maybe he wants a mirror image at the top. Maybe he wants it aligned in the center of like the top bottom.
Chris LaFay: They want the letters all spread out with the going like far, they'll justify.
Dawn Audano: Yeah, justified.
Chris LaFay: There it is.
Dawn Audano: All the letters he couldn't find. He thought. He thought justified was the word for center.
Andrew Booth: Well, yeah. The other thing is, is he wants our tech and blog to move to the right of the logo.
Dawn Audano: That's dumb. Oh, no, wait, wait. What is it now? Sorry, I was thinking to the left, because that was. But like, oh, it's not centered on mine. It's like, it's like slightly right aligned on mine.
Andrew Booth: Oh, what's your screen size? Maybe that's the difference.
Dawn Audano: I don't know. I mean, it doesn't matter my screen size. It's. I mean, I guess it does matter my screen size, but it is, It's. It's slightly left. It's. When I open my screen, it is slightly to the right.
Andrew Booth: Okay. Yep, that's what it is. It's. It's screen size dependent. Okay, never mind.
Dawn Audano: Yep. All right, well, I'm glad we looked at that. All right, so you at least have some ish marching orders for them. When do you think you will look at the blog thing?
Andrew Booth: That's the Corey stuff.
Chris LaFay: Let's see.
Andrew Booth: Let me look at My calendar.
Dawn Audano: Be honest with yourself. Don't lie for me. I'll hold you accountable to the deadlines you set for yourself.
Andrew Booth: Yeah,.
Dawn Audano: Because you told me last Tuesday you would take care of it.
Andrew Booth: I know. And then look at all the, like, urgent issues.
Dawn Audano: No, I know. It's because they just keep setting their mindsight to staging.
Andrew Booth: Yeah. Twice in one day.
Dawn Audano: I know. That was. That was special. That was special. I'm glad I saw it.
Andrew Booth: And I was like, are you kidding me? I just fixed this.
Dawn Audano: I love that you added this is fixed again. And I was like, oh, if he had added ellipses, that would have been so passive. All right, so sending a note to Corey. Is it happening this week?
Andrew Booth: Tomorrow.
Dawn Audano: Tomorrow.
Andrew Booth: I don't think. I don't think I would get to it today because I've already gotten pained for other stuff from them. Like, Caitlin Harris has already paid me.
Dawn Audano: This morning special. Okay.
Andrew Booth: Yeah.
Dawn Audano: All right. Ats. We have our call with them today. Chris, did you look at the proposed timeline for the work for them?
Chris LaFay: That was what you sent over via Slack?
Dawn Audano: Yes.
Chris LaFay: Late last week. Right. I'm pretty sure. I. And then. Did I give you. Did I drop notes in there too?
Dawn Audano: You sort of did. I didn't see it because I just got back to my. I just, like, it didn't ping me for some reason. Three sites. Oh, because it wasn't.
Chris LaFay: It was. It was on. Oh, yeah. It was on Friday too. And you were out, basically. I wanted to give a little bit of buffer for the content piece. Launching three websites in the matter of a month seems. No, Seems like a lot now.
Dawn Audano: Have you met Lois, though?
Chris LaFay: I have not. And I also haven't. I don't know how efficient Brandon is with his content import stuff that he does.
Dawn Audano: It's not Brandon. It's Lois. Oh, really? On top of it. Lois is like, we gotta get this done. I mean, she might be fine with the added thing, but, like, she just started, and I think she's really trying to prove herself, and I love her for it. So I think she's gonna. I mean, she's pushing it. She's like, I had to sit down with Dave and we went through the entire tool last week. Like, yeah, she's on top of it. So it's gonna happen if. And so I think we say to them, these are the con. These are. This is how fast we can move. How fast can you move? And I think they'll move at. They'll move at Lois's pace.
Chris LaFay: That's fine. Like, if that's the Case. As long as they really. My, my, my, my one piece with all this is the, the content importing phase. As long as they know that that's the variable there, then I'm good. As long as that's the part that can be flexible. Because I believe I spun up, I spun up the other site map functions right. Last week. Okay, so that's done.
Dawn Audano: And one of those is already done.
Chris LaFay: Fantastic.
Dawn Audano: So you sent that to me Friday and Lois did it yesterday.
Chris LaFay: Wow. Okay. The only question that I had was the map stuff, the one that they sent over, literally, which is like a JPEG image. Like, are they.
Dawn Audano: No, this needs functionality. This needs like this. I don't know if. Well, I. Here's what I'm envisioning. Andrew, I don't know if you were on this call. Basically, if you look at. Oh, it's like id, there's some site that they showed us. But basically what they want is to be able to filter. So if some, like, they want to have different features of it where, like, if they have representatives in the area or they have like, like, I remember the different. They had lots of different pieces of it. I have to look through my notes. There was like three different elements that they wanted to be able to showcase on the map. Where you could say, like, I need like this type of person or this type of person or this type of person. Like in these areas, like, do you have somebody. And so it needs to have some filter ability if they were to click or scroll over. So if, like, if there are certain areas that basically they have everybody all over and they want people to be able to see, like, and in these areas we have this type of representative and we have this type of representative and we have this type of representative. But they really just want to use it as like a sales tool. I think that's going to be the, that's going to be the piece that's going to hold us up because we need that data and we need to build whatever it is they're desiring.
Chris LaFay: Okay. My thinking when you say all of that is that is a map. The best way to then display that information. Because if we're talking about multiple different. I'm just going to call them categories of humans are in each state. If the goal is to showcase kind of the, the breadth of the breadth and the depth of the types of people that are in each state, we're going to put like colored dots on each state to where it's like, no,.
Dawn Audano: We're going to highlight the entire state. It's going to be like, in Georgia we have, like, if you like, we have representatives of all these varieties in Georgia. They actually don't want dots. They don't want people to know where anyone is because they don't want. They also don't want. They don't want anything zip code specific. Like, they just want to be like, we have people in Georgia. Because whoever's in Georgia will travel wherever they need to within Georgia or, or in Tennessee or Carolinas or wherever they need somebody. So they just want to be able to highlight the entire, like, state and say, yes, we represent people in this area. And what was. Who is it? Is it Jer? It's either. I think it's Jeremy. He said he wants to be able to use it as like a sales tool that he like, pulls up at conferences and is like, look at my map of all the places and all the types of people we have.
Chris LaFay: But a state is going to have multiple different, like, so I'm thinking about like color coding states because if every state is color coded the same, then nothing is color coded at all.
Dawn Audano: But like, they're gonna, there are still gonna be. There's gonna be some variation. Let me see if I can find my notes on this. Card. Sliders interact. Interactive map will be reused. Okay, the right one. Which call is this? Ads. Let me look back here. Okay, so this is from May 12th. Anyway, I think let's, let's focus on today's call. Making sure we get map clarity and I think is my, my big takeaway from that. And then I think we have a basic overview of what.
Chris LaFay: I'll let you handle talking about the, the schedule for the sites and then I'll handle asking questions about the map.
Dawn Audano: Okay, so I'm just gonna say if the content, if we have all the content for us, we can have this done in three weeks, which is what Andrew and I gave them. Anyway, when we first talked it, we were like anywhere between three and six weeks. It just kind of depends on what the content's about. Like, that's exactly what we told them two weeks ago. So as long as they have the content to us, it's a three week process. If they don't have the content to us, and it could take up to six weeks. So if they want this done by the end of June, like, that's completely feasible.
Chris LaFay: And when they, when we're saying have content to us, that means that they have populated everything.
Dawn Audano: They have all the content. Yeah, they populated everything. The only thing that we need would be the map function. Like the map data. Okay, cool. So let's move on from ats. I've created like a ton of tasks for that, but I'm just cross that bridge. Okay. Consume. You have everything taken care of. What they imported everything. All of everything's in. Where do we stand on next steps there? Do we just need to do video at this point?
Chris LaFay: At this point, all we need to do. We can cancel. We should be able to cancel our weekly meeting with them. They have all the tools at their disposal to finish up content importing.
Andrew Booth: They.
Chris LaFay: What they. What they said last time was basically they're building out one page of each type so that they can touch every building block. So then they can give us one round of feedback on all of those building blocks. That's what I did when I got bored last night. So their last round of QA is done. Okay, so they are now going to take their one product page and then duplicate that 10 times for all of their products. Products. Now that everything is working now, they might have a couple of random oddball questions, because I did. I put some features from new sites, from a couple of new sites into theirs to just extend some functionality and to avoid future questions. So they might have some little nickel and dime questions like, oh, how does this work? But.
Dawn Audano: So what are we targeting for go live for them then?
Chris LaFay: Middle of like two or like three or four weeks, give or take. Just.
Dawn Audano: Okay.
Chris LaFay: Basically we don't have to do anything. We don't have to stay on top of them. We don't spend any time on them.
Dawn Audano: So we check back. We'll say we should check back in let's say the week of June 9th. Yeah, we should target a go live.
Chris LaFay: That's fine.
Dawn Audano: So content complete by June 9th and then we'll target go live for some time. Like that week that.
Chris LaFay: Yes. So it either will have to be that week or literally June 22nd, because I have two weeks kind of back. I have our annual beach trip, the 15th on the week of the Monday, the 15th of June.
Dawn Audano: Okay, so let's tell them that the week of June, like you, we have. We're going to be getting into the holiday, we're going to be getting into the summer vacation. We know a lot of people are going to be out and we take the site live. The week of. It's actually June 8th would be that Monday. So we want to take it live June 8th. Does that seem feasible for you? That's three weeks from now? Yep. Okay, cool. So I'm going to tell them that. Do you have all the recordings done for that site.
Chris LaFay: All the recordings were already done. So with.
Dawn Audano: Are they on the back end?
Chris LaFay: Good question. They. I believe they are.
Dawn Audano: Okay. And then we also need to get all those on the back end for Primo. I know you have to figure that out why that wasn't working.
Chris LaFay: Yeah. Come on.
Dawn Audano: So I'm going to put. All right, so I'm going to request the website approval on Friday, June 5th, and then we're going to do all the site stuff like June 10th, and then we're done. All right, so you're checking Primo right now. Election board. What is happening here?
Chris LaFay: So I have my discovery call with them, and I am in the process of taking the building blocks that we looked at during discovery and moving them onto their sample site. So they already have this.
Dawn Audano: Where are you in that process, I guess is my question.
Chris LaFay: 25% In the due date for me on that is next week, which is like Wednesday or Thursday.
Dawn Audano: And so is this the one we're meeting with on. On Tuesday?
Chris LaFay: Yeah, maybe Tuesday. Yeah.
Dawn Audano: So are we trying to get it to them? This. Are we trying to finish it out this week so we can give it to them Tuesday?
Chris LaFay: Yes. So my goal is to have all of their building blocks done this week so that we can then go over those with them on Tuesday.
Dawn Audano: Okay. So then this week is their timeline. Not next Thursday, but this.
Chris LaFay: I thought it. I thought it was. I thought it was Thursday, but I haven't gotten there yet.
Dawn Audano: Okay.
Chris LaFay: Yep. It is choosing.
Dawn Audano: My bad.
Chris LaFay: So the, the overall process, because they have a system already in place, we're basically taking that design style guide that I've used a couple times now.
Dawn Audano: Right.
Chris LaFay: Tossing in some extra blocks from stuff that's already been coded out. Because I'm using Claude saying, hey, look at this website over here. Go build some of these blocks. And then that's going to be their baseline. And the thing is, for them, it's less about the design and development process. It's going to be more about here's page templates with sample content, react.
Dawn Audano: Okay. But all of that work, all of that work's done this week. And then we're going to show it to them next week. Okay. And you're on track to finish it out this week. Okay, that's great. Let me see.
Chris LaFay: There will be more QA time with this. The goal is we squish design and development down.
Dawn Audano: Right.
Chris LaFay: And then there's just going to be more iteration, which is fine.
Dawn Audano: Okay. And we'll deal with that once we talk with them. Next week and I'll have a better understanding. All right, talk to me about lumber rock. Are we. Is this back at Claude, Is this with you? Who is handling lumber rock at this point?
Chris LaFay: This is, you know, this is definitely Claude. Okay, so at the end of the call yesterday, I think I said something along the lines of, we're going to take the. They've approved the homepage layout and they've approved that collection slash project page layout.
Dawn Audano: Are the building block designs complete?
Chris LaFay: Is that next actually?
Dawn Audano: Building block, yes. Building blocks complete. Homepage design is complete. Complete. And the collections template is complete. All right, so what's our next step then?
Chris LaFay: So what I want Claude to do is to take the blocks we already have at our disposal and just build a. Design a layout in Figma for what one of those problem area pages will be. So that sitemap that she pushed up there, she had some. She had under the second tab. It was like water resistant, heat resistant. I forgot what the words were. I want to build out. I want him to just lay out a page for what? One of those, like, detail pages could be structured, like.
Dawn Audano: Okay, so I'm looking at download all again. All right, so the structure outline or I'm looking at the website navigation. So we're looking at. I'm shy of shop by project shopper, performance collections, contractor resources. Which one do you want him to build out a page for one of.
Chris LaFay: The performance sub pages.
Dawn Audano: Shop by performance sub pages. Okay. Yep.
Chris LaFay: And the idea is that these are basically just detail pages at the end of the day, like, this is a. It'll probably be four or five sections long. And it's meant to drive home a point of like, this is why this feature works the way that it does. And this is why it's good for you. It's nothing super complex because my thinking is this is what we slacked a little.
Dawn Audano: Yeah, sorry. We need this, like, Thursday for him or when do we want this stuff?
Chris LaFay: Friday is fine.
Dawn Audano: Okay, so sorry. So give me what you need from that page again.
Chris LaFay: So this is just a detail page. Like, just plain and simple. We're focusing in on a single detail or feature of these boards and explaining why. Why it matters to the customer. So he can pick whichever, like, whatever one that resonates most with him. But, like, whether it's like water resistance on the beach, whether it's heat resistance for kids, you know, being able to walk on it and dogs being safe on it and blah, blah, blah, I don't care which one he picks. Doesn't matter. Because then we're going to take that layout and then duplicate that layout across all of those different things. And then it'll be Aaron's problem to then put content into those buckets. Basically say single feature page. So if you want to, you can even think about it like software as a service. Like when you go to like the Asana page, it's like we're great for project managers and here's why.
Dawn Audano: So I'm picking. So I'm. I'm giving him marine grade performance, built for docks, low maintenance, living cooler and safer underfoot, sustainable by design.
Chris LaFay: Those ones and pick any one of those, whichever one is the easiest to click into to build a detail page about that. He doesn't have to worry about the content, just the general content structures going down the page.
Dawn Audano: Okay.
Chris LaFay: And what I'm building this.
Dawn Audano: And he's building this in figma. Yeah.
Chris LaFay: Because he already has all the blocks there.
Dawn Audano: And does he need the structure outline for that? Not really.
Chris LaFay: I envision that he could come up with that. Yeah.
Dawn Audano: Okay. All right, cool.
Chris LaFay: And I also real. I told him this a couple weeks ago that we're definitely. I'm more out of scope with the work that he's done for this one because I thought it was going to basically be build out a block library and a homepage design. So we're definitely out of scope with his amount that he was charging. Yeah, he's aware of that. I'm aware of that. I haven't talked to him directly about it yet, but I have sent him messages and he has given me like a thumbs up. We good? We'll talk about it. So.
Dawn Audano: Okay.
Chris LaFay: Which was intentional. I didn't know where the scope of this project was going to go, so I started him low with the ability to. To raise it.
Dawn Audano: Okay, cool. All right, two minutes. Oh God. We don't have time to talk about tap, but we need to email this morning. I know. Andrew, have you seen that they're getting.
Chris LaFay: 403 Forbiddens which I can't duplicate on accessory brands.
Dawn Audano: And then also Chris text built while Andrew's looking at that.
Chris LaFay: I have that. That is about 85% complete.
Dawn Audano: All the marker tasks that are in there on your radar?
Chris LaFay: Yes, all of them. I actually went through a lot of them yesterday. I sent Claude AI on a lot of them. Most of them are content. The 20 that's missing is. I need to do a couple more things with their forms and some imagery stuff as well too. But she actually handled that as perfectly as I hoped. So that is going smooth. That is on track. All is well and good there. And I did get their check for their invoice, by the way, and they mailed it. I didn't realize that.
Dawn Audano: Okay. Did you deposit it on. You deposited on Friday. Right. Okay.
Andrew Booth: Yeah.
Dawn Audano: Then I need to. I'll check again today because I think that hadn't posted as of yesterday.
Andrew Booth: Yeah, this, this isn't going to be on us.
Dawn Audano: Okay.
Andrew Booth: This is some. I'll respond to this email, but this is some sort of firewall on their end.
Chris LaFay: Okay, that's what I thought.
Andrew Booth: The way I know is two of the links they're looking at are readylift and Logic Air.
Chris LaFay: Ones that we don't control.
Andrew Booth: We don't control those.
Dawn Audano: Okay, cool. Let's jump over to ATS then.
Chris LaFay: I'm run to the restroom really quick. I'll be right there.
