Evening Check-In
Meetings Recap
- Chris Dubois Webinar Prep: Prepped some emails to send for Chris' event in ~1.5 weeks. That's all I accomplished — blew through CC session limits early this morning before I could get to it. By the time sessions were back, got distracted. Need to spend time actually sending out messages tomorrow.
- Send Content Day Videos: Sent the Content Day videos to the crew and sincerely apologized for the delay. Need to get in touch with Aby Varma about scheduling people for Content Day at his event — see if he can email out everyone who signed up given this is a new "value add" for his event.
- Tech Talk Y'all Live: Did NOT go to Marietta — was sick. Feeling worse now.
- Agency Lunch Club chat (Tiven): Chatted about getting the AGL started here in Atlanta. Put a calendar invite on the calendar for sometime around May 20th (Tiven was "invited" so it's on his calendar). He has about 10 people he's going to reach out to. It's going to be at Taqueria del Sol in Decatur. I also need to pick 5-10 people to invite — should get started on this sooner rather than later. If I don't hit my minimum of 10, I can keep adding on.
- Rebecca Galuppo — Style Guide Review: Did not call Rebecca, BUT added more onto the Style Guide today. Got a few new blocks designed out that I really like (may edit more tonight). Should call her and Sherri from the State tomorrow. Sherri texted and said she was "very excited" to chat tomorrow!
Deliverables
- Style Guide got more improved. Need to test exporting it out to WordPress though.
- Made a list for DuBois's and Jaci Lund's events I'm co-hosting.
- Sent Content Day videos to the crew (covered in meetings recap).
- Not a lot accomplished today. Was sick.
New Clients / Prospects
- Rebecca Galuppo (TexBuilt): Needs a follow-up. Call her tomorrow.
- Sherri (State of Georgia): Will call me after 11:00 tomorrow. Sounds like that'll go through.
Reflections
What worked today worth repeating: I actually made some motion on further-away events, so that is nice. Speaking of that, make sure to stub out the Agency Lunch Club event in our scaffolding. I attached my meeting transcript since the Process Transcripts didn't grab it for some reason.
What surprised you — good or bad: How little I get done when I'm feeling bad. Just didn't focus and I had a lot of time to myself. I am happy with the Style Guide progress — don't get me wrong — but man... I haven't used Motion well at all this week. Staying on task is hard.
Anything bugging you or any spark worth chasing: I need to stay on top of potential business better. One thing I need to wire up is an MCP for the Ops dashboard I have created (ops.classiccity.com). It's an app Claude helped me code. I would love for Claude to be able to check in there and see deals that have stalled and push me to move them (or, if I tell Claude about a new deal, add it in as a Proposal for me).
Open Loops
- Aeon Laser Style Guide: Need to update it — they added branding resources into Asana that I was unaware of. Need to merge those in before sending the Style Guide.
- Events tracker: If the goal is 12 events this year, we should keep a tracker inside the Events folder. Two past events aren't in there yet (NYC Agency Leader Field Trip w/ David Ries, TopGolf w/ Sophie Brannon). Future events in the back pocket: Grace Nelson offered her Atlanta home for an in-home dinner event, and Leo Falkenstein + Sophie Brannon (separately) want to co-host another social event akin to TopGolf.
- Mini-podcast episode: Recorded today — took notes from the last week and did a deep dive that agency leaders might like to listen to or read. (Forgot to mention in Deliverables!)
- Call Rebecca Galuppo tomorrow (TexBuilt Style Guide review)
- Call Sherri from the State tomorrow after 11:00
- Chris Dubois webinar: Still need to actually send the outreach messages tomorrow. Blew through CC session limits today.
- Aby Varma: Need to reach out about scheduling people for Content Day at his event — see if he can email everyone who signed up.
- AGL Atlanta: Pick 5-10 people to invite. Get added to AGL Slack.
